Golfers around Colorado have enjoyed getting back to playing this spring, some courses however had their practice areas closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The days of breakfast balls and finally getting loose by the fourth hole are over as the City of Aurora announced that practice areas for its five courses are now back open for business.
With the news of openings comes a few changes as there will be a 40-minute time limit on driving ranges and golfers must use their own balls on the practice chipping areas.
With the closure of practice facilities, course superintendents had the opportunity to get practice areas in pristine condition.
Today is a great day for avid golfers, we’re talking about practice… not a game, but the return of practice facilities.
With the practice area finally opening back up tomorrow it’s time to show it off. @GrantJavernick and I cleaned it up, pamperd an old target green back to life, mowed in a lower rough height fairway and new target poles. Going to hurt seeing that first divot taken. pic.twitter.com/bFzX5alGF3
