Landers man accused of falsely reporting bomb at Desert Hot Springs school, police say

Jerrett Tagger III is accused of falsely reporting a bomb at Cabot Yerxa Elementary School in Desert Hot Springs, police said.

A 31-year-old Landers man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of making a bomb threat directed at a Desert Hot Springs elementary school, according to police.

Jerrett Tagger III was arrested about 90 minutes after kitchen staff at Cabot Yerxa Elementary School received a phone call indicating there was a bomb inside the school, police said. 

Desert Hot Springs police came to the school and determined it was a hoax. 

Tagger faces two counts in his alleged involvement in the call, police said.
