A victim in the Palm Springs quadruple homicide will be laid to rest next week, family members said.

A funeral will be held for Jacob Montgomery at 1 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Desert Chapel, 630 S. Sunrise Way, said Montgomery's mother, Dana Beauchemin.

Montgomery, 19, was found dead with gunshot wounds on Feb. 3 in a Toyota Corolla that crashed near El Placer and Sunny Dunes Road.

He and his two friends, Yuliana Garcia and Juan Duarte Raya, also were found dead in the car with gunshot wounds. About a half-mile away, police discovered the body of 25-year-old Carlos C. Campos, who died after being shot.

Montgomery was remembered by his family last week as "hilarious" and a
"grandma's boy." He lived in Cathedral City with his grandmother.

Beauchemin, who said she last spoke to Montgomery about a week before he died, said he wanted to visit her in Montana and possibly learn a trade from her husband.

Cathedral City resident Jose Vladimir Larin-Garcia, 19, pleaded not guilty to four counts of felony murder last week. Authorities haven't released any details on whether there was a motive or if he had any connection to the victims.
