Gene Autry Trail, Indian Canyon Drive reopen after high winds pummel Palm Springs area

Gene Autry Trail and Indian Canyon Drive reopened Saturday after they were closed due to high winds and blowing sand. 

Winds are expected to fade out by late Saturday when gusts will drop between 5 and 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Looking ahead, high temperatures in the Palm Springs area will be in the low 100s for most of next week, according to the weather service.
