'MasterChef Junior Live!’ is coming to the Des Moines Civic Center

The hit Fox cooking show “MasterChef Junior” has extended its live tour in more than 40 new markets in 2020. Des Moines is one of the cities added to the list, and “MasterChef Junior Live" will premiere at the Des Moines Civic Center Sunday, April 5, 2020. 

The show is being extended following a 16-city tour in 2019. The extended seven-week tour will begin in Rochester, New York, on March 3, 2020, and along with Des Moines will visit cities such as Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Denver, and more. 

President of TCG Entertainment, Producer of “MasterChef Junior Live” Stephen Cook said in a news release: 

“TCG is thrilled to continue to bring the fun of ‘MasterChef Junior Live!’ to audiences in 2020. Families will enjoy watching and participating in the show as much as we have enjoyed creating it.” 

Along with TCG Entertainment, Des Moines Performing Arts is also teaming up with Endemol Shine North America to bring the show to a live audience. 

“Alongside our partners at TCG Entertainment, we are giving families and fans of our hit series a chance to meet and learn first-hand from past ‘MasterChef Junior’ winners and contestants in cities near them,” said Amber Sheppo, Senior Vice President, Licensing, Endemol Shine North America.

The live show will feature head-to-head cooking demonstrations and challenges with the show’s past contestants. The “MasterChef Junior Live!” cast will be announced at a later date.
