Steve Miller Band is slippin'-slippin'-slippin' into Iowa's capital city this summer.

The classic rock favorite joins forces with country music stalwart Marty Stuart for a summer tour that kicks off June 13 at Wells Fargo Arena, a Thursday night. Ticket information is yet to be released locally.

The tour makes an encore stop in the Hawkeye state June 22, when Steve Miller Band plans to headline America's River Festival in Dubuque. The tour runs through Aug. 31.

Hailing from California, the Steve Miller Band championed 1970s rock with timeless radio hits such as "The Joker," "Fly Like An Eagle," "Take The Money and Run" and "Jet Airliner." The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted the group in 2016.

A Mississippi bluegrass and honky tonk country songwriter, Stuart's known for penning Grammy Award-winning cuts "This Whiskey Ain't Workin'" and  "Same Old Train," as well as 1990s hit "Hillbilly Rock."

A longtime Grand Ole Opry member and country music historian, Stuart revealed earlier this year plans for the Congress of Country Music — a Mississippi-based museum, cultural center and venue.
