Midwest natives Twenty One Pilots are bringing their “Bandito Tour” to Des Moines on Friday, at Wells Fargo Arena.

Formed in 2009, the band now consists of lead vocalist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun. Due to overwhelming demand, the group has added a new United States leg of their tour. The additional dates  kicked off in Tampa, Florida, on Oct. 9.

Misterwives will be joining the band on the tour.

The tour has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform to ensure that concert tickets get into the hands of fans and not scalpers or bots. Tickets went on sale July 19 to the general public, but there are still seats available.

Ticket prices range from $39.50-$79.50.

There is a general admission policy

General admission guests will be able to line up at the north entrance of the building at 8 a.m., and early line-up is not permitted. Doors are scheduled to open at 6:30 p.m. According to Iowa Events Center, screening of GA ticket holders could start early to have attendees ready for entrance. GA guests will be escorted onto the floor in an orderly fashion. There is no seating in the GA section, just standing.

Guidelines

  • No overnight camping on the property
  • Limited food and beverage outside in line, but not allowed inside of the building
  • No bottles
  • No alcohol
  • No smoking or vaping in the line
  • No animals allowed except for service animals
  • No reselling of tickets on-site
  • Do not leave items unattended

Fans of Twenty One Pilots can expect to see the duo perform their hit single “Stressed Out,” “Jumpsuit,” “The Hype” and more, according to setlists from the group’s recent stops.

The 2015 song “Stressed Out” off their fourth studio album, “Blurryface,” became a top 10 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 2016. The duo expresses various genres in the music, including hip-hop, electric, indie pop and rock.

In 2018, Twenty One Pilots released their fifth project, “Trench.” The last time Twenty One Pilots performed in Iowa was at the Iowa State Fair on April 8, 2017.
