Des Moines police asking for the community's help in locating a missing woman who suffers from dementia

Update: Lynn Crenshaw was located early Monday morning in Louisa County, Iowa, and is safe. 

The Des Moines Police Department is asking for the community's help in locating a woman with dementia who went missing early Sunday evening.

At about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Lynn Crenshaw, 75, left the 7400 block of SE 23rd Street. Crenshaw was driving a gray-colored 2013 Chevrolet Sonic, with an Iowa license plate "BEN 961."

Crenshaw suffers from medical conditions, including dementia. Her intended destination was unknown, but she is believed to be in the metro area, according to the release.

Crenshaw is described as 5-foot-1, 155 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. She was last known to be wearing a black-colored leather coat and black-colored pants.

If anyone has any information about Crenshaw’s whearabouts, officials ask that they call 911.
