Pavement work will temporarily close I-35/I-80 near east mixmaster late Tuesday evening

Portions of Interstate Highways 35 and 80 near the east mixmaster in Des Moines will temporarily close overnight Tuesday for repair work.

The Iowa Department of Transporation said in a news release that sections of pavement will be repaired between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 2 a.m. Wednesday. 

The roadwork will temporarily close northbound I-35 and eastbound I-35/80 to northbound I-35. Traffic will be routed around the area on I-80 east, the U.S. Highway 65 interchange, and the westbound I-80 to northbound I-35 interchange.
