Des Moines man arrested and charged with lascivious acts with 3-year-old child

A Des Moines man was arrested Friday and charged with lascivious acts with a 3-year-old child, according to court documents.

Larry Wayne Grafton, 73, was caught on surveillance footage last Tuesday fondling and touching the vaginal area of a 3-year-old.

The criminal complaint said the child's father reviewed surveillance footage that showed Grafton sitting on a couch with the child on his lap. Before touching the child, according to the court documents, he looked down the hallway and around the room. Afterward, Grafton stood up once the mother of the child entered the living room.

The surveillance footage was turned over to Des Moines investigators.

Grafton's bond has been set at $50,000 in cash, and he is expected at the Polk County Courthouse on Dec. 18.
