Ankeny police investigating after man stabbed in a domestic dispute
A man has been hospitalized after being stabbed in an Ankeny apartment complex.
Ankeny police were called about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 1900 block of West First Street. A male, who has not been named by authorities, was alert and breathing when taken to a nearby hospital, according to Ankeny police Lt. Brian Kroska.
Kroska said the general public is not at risk.

"It is a domestic situation that resulted in the stabbing," he said. "We're still investigating, we have detectives on scene, are applying for a search a warrant and are doing interviews. It's all still very preliminary."
Kroska said a knife was used in the attack. No one has been arrested yet. An update on the victim's condition was not immediately available.
