Introducing a new tool to help you keep track of presidential candidates visiting Iowa

With more than 20 candidates expected to participate in thousands of events in the months leading up the 2020 Iowa caucus in February, keeping track of who's coming Iowa when can be difficult.

The Des Moines Register candidate tracker is the best way to stay up-to-date on the whereabouts of presidential contenders in Iowa. Starting today, the Register is releasing a new tool that will bring information from the candidate tracker to your Twitter feed, making it it easier than ever to keep up with the whirlwind 2020 caucus cycle.

Each morning, the Des Moines Register Caucus Bot will tweet a list of the candidates visiting Iowa that day, with a link to the candidate tracker to give you more information on any of their events. The bot, which lives at @dmrcaucusbot, will only tweet once per day (around 9 a.m.) so it's not going to clog up your Twitter feed.

Here's an example:

Give the bot a follow. If you use Twitter on desktop or mobile, you can also click the bell symbol once you've followed @dmrcaucusbot to receive daily alerts about the candidates' plans.

And if you want to keep up with all the stories, videos and photos the Register has to offer about the caucuses, follow @dmrcaucus, which automatically tweets every bit of caucus goodness Iowa's statewide newspaper has to offer.

Get instant alerts when candidates are in Iowa.
