Texas junior college receiver Xavier Hutchinson commits to Iowa State

When Xavier Hutchinson gets to Iowa State, he’ll have plenty of strength, size and experience under his belt.

Hutchinson, a junior college wide receiver, announced his commitment to Iowa State on Monday. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound sophomore-to-be in 2019 will be a part of Iowa State’s 2020 class.

Hutchinson, according to 247 Sports, also received scholarship offers from a number of schools including Texas Christian, Arizona State, Utah and Illinois.

He just finished his freshman season at Blinn College in Texas where he caught 15 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns. Hutchinson averaged 20.4 yards per reception.
