Man shot near Belle Isle Bridge in Detroit

Detroit — A 31-year-old man was in stable condition after being shot near the bridge to Belle Isle on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was driving a blue 2016 Chevrolet Trax when a white Chevrolet Malibu pulled alongside him at the intersection of East Jefferson Avenue and East Grand Boulevard. A women in the passenger seat fired at him with a handgun.

The suspect is described as heavy set with long hair. A man was driving the Malibu when the shooting occurred, police said.

 A motive for the shooting has not been determined.
