Fast food fans in Exeter have received another boost after Burger King reopened one of their stores.

The burger giants have confirmed that the branch in the Exeter Services by junction 30 of the M5 has now reopened following its closure due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Burger King have confirmed that food is only available for takeaway only, and there are a number of safety procedures in place to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19 for their customers.

"We can confirm the Exeter Services Burger King branch re-opened on 18 th May for takeaway at the counter only," said a spokesperson.

"Safety is Burger King’s number one priority, and to enable restaurants to continue to re-open a number of procedures have been put in place to safeguard the health of both Burger King employees and customers, following detailed operational testing.

"These include additional PPE such as masks and gloves for staff, stringent cleaning measures and all Burger King staff comprehensively trained on the Government’s social distancing measures – including how to run kitchens hygienically, whilst abiding by them."
