Drivers have been urged to avoid the A396 in Devon after a serious collision.
One woman has been left trapped in a vehicle after a three-car crash at Tiverton Road near Silverton caused the car to "flip over a hedge into a field" and fall 15ft.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the crash happened at around 6.10pm and a woman has suffered a head injury and that firefighters and paramedics are at the scene.
The A396 has been closed at The Ruffwell Inn at Silverton.
The police spokesperson has asked drivers to "avoid the area" where possible.
Traffic and travel system Inrix reports that traffic is affected between Exeter and Tiverton.
