The M5 has been partially closed after an accident saw a 4x4 crash off the motorway near junction 30 in Exeter.

One lane has been closed southbound on the entry slip after a car crashed at junction 30, where the M5 meets the A376 Sidmouth Road,.

The busy junction is for Exeter and the services.

Lane one of two is closed on the sliproad coming up from the roundabout after a car left the road and landed in bushes.

Police tweeted: "Those damp roads can catch out anyone, even if you are driving a 4 wheel - drive car! Please be careful out there! No injuries here and the southbound on - slip at junction 30 will soon be clear."
