A man has been stabbed in Exeter and the suspect responsible is at large.

Four police units are at the scene at Lancelot Road, near its junction with Pellinore Road.

The call came in to emergency services at 6.04pm.

Police say "lots of units are at the scene as locals detectives are making enquiries."

The man is receiving medical attention and the extent of injuries are unknown at this time.

A 29-year-old man has been stabbed in the stomach in Exeter.

He was found at around 6pm by a passer-by lying on the pavement of Lancelot Road, near St James School.

Devon & Cornwall Police were contacted at 6.04pm and four units were sent to the scene.

He was found by a member of the public and has been taken to hospital.

He has been stabbed in his stomach and was found lying in the road.

Units are on the scene doing house to house enquiries, and are appealing for witnesses to ascertain what happened.
