Police have sealed off a main route through Exeter City Centre.

Devon & Cornwall Police have only said that it is a "serious incident" at this stage.

New North Road has been shut between Exeter Prison and Longbrook Street.

Trains are not affected at present, with an Exmouth service pulling into the station in the last few minutes.

It is thought to involve a serious concern for somebody's welfare.

Updates will appear in the blog below as we get them.
