Police in Totnes have raided a suspected drugs den in the latest crackdown on the illegal trade.

Officers from the neighbourhood team smashed their way into the property in the Bridgetown area. At the same time colleagues were executing a warrant at an address near the town centre.

Drugs were seized and a number of people are now being investigated in connection to selling narcotics.

Officers took to social media to publicise the raid.

The raids are the latest in a series of operations in South Devon. In Brixham and Paignton Op Olympic has netted drugs with a street value of almost £1million.

In Torquay Op Commonwealth has also been a success. In March Op Commonwealth found £100,000 of cannabis during a raid in Torquay. In Newton Abbot Op Motif has been targeting cannabis dealers.
