COTTONWOOD -- Host Lakeview beat Edgerton 68-26 Monday in high school boys basketball, handing the Flying Dutchmen a loss in their season opener.
Aaron Loe scored 23 points and Park Hoffman added 14 for Lakeview, which led by 27 at the half.
Jacob Fischer had 11 points and nine rebounds for Edgerton, and teammate Gabe Gilbertson had 10 points, six rebounds and two steals.
In another area boys basketball game Monday, Hills-Beaver Creek topped Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 69-49.
In a girls basketball game, Lakeview beat Edgerton 70-31.
