GRANADA -- Basketball continues to go right for the Jackson County Central girls.
The Huskies improved their record to 5-0 with an 89-67 win over host GHEC/Truman/Martin Luther.
Four Huskies hit double figures in scoring. Alaina Wolff tallied 26 points, Sadie Voss had 19, Regan Farmer 11 and Georgie Wenzel 10.
For the hosts, Michaelah Petrowiak scored 17 and Lizzie Oothoudt had 12.

OKABENA -- Sophomore guard Brooklynn Ver Steeg led all scorers with 15 for Luverne in a non conference battle with Heron Lake Okabena/Fulda.
Averill Sehr scored nine points for the Cardinals, senior guard Mallory Thorson scored eight, and Christina Wagne scored seven.
Chrissy Hermeling led the Coyotes with nine points, Kelsey Fuerstenberg and Khloe Gehl added five points, and Morgan Gehl scored 4.

SHELDON -- Brooklyn Grady scored 22 points to help her Sheldon squad overcome arch-rival Sibley-Ocheyedan in a close game. Sydney Olson scored 11 points for the Orabs.
Sibley-Ocheyedan held the lead at halftime, 32-31, but Sheldon outscored the visitors 15-6 in the third quarter to take charge.
Two freshmen, Madison Brouwer and Bria Wasmund, led the Generals. Brouwer scored 26 points and had six rebounds and four steals. Wasmund scored 14 points with six rebounds, seven assists and six steals.

EDGERTON -- Murray County Central had 34 turnovers against Southwest Christians’ physical press defense.
Senior guard Kade Fey scored 17, pulled down six rebounds, and dished out four assists. Avery Pater scored 15 points for the Eagles, Micah Fennema scored 13, and Denver Decker scored 10.

Kyler Deacon and Justin Clarke scored five points for the Rebels. The Rebels had just 5 offensive rebounds out of 35.
Southwest Christian travels to Fairmont on Saturday to compete in a Big South Conference Tournament. The Eagles will play Windom at 6:00 p.m.

MOUNTAIN LAKE -- Senior forward Sam Paulson did everything right for Mountain Lake/Comfrey in a Red Rock Conference victory over Red Rock Central. Paulson finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Abraham Stoesz scored 11 points and Spencer Khamvongsa scored 10 for the Wolverines. Junior guard Ethan Nickel scored 10, had seven boards, and three steals.

NEW LONDON -- The Worthington Trojans captured team firsts in varsity and junior varsity competition. The JV team scored 128.05 points. The varsity scored 137.525 to beat New Ulm (135.275), Alexandria (133.925) and New London-Spicer (133.175).
Hali Bullerman captured the vault for Worthington, with a 9.4 score, and she was also first on the uneven parallel bars (8.45). Teammate Mekyla Nystrom was third (8.25) on bars and another Trojan, Gracia Elias, was fourth with an 8.2.
Elias also got a fourth on the balance beam, with 8.6. Nystrom was fourth on vault, with 9.15.
All-around scores were not available Friday night.

WHS head coach Joni Reitmeier said her athletes got off to a hot start on bars and vault, but there were too many falls on beam.
