Of all the reasons to be fired from a voiceover role on a children's animated movie, Miley Cyrus probably has the best one.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday (August 23), the singer revealed that she was "kicked off" Hotel Transylvania after pictures surfaced of her licking a penis cake she bought for her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
"I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it," she wrote.
Miley was reportedly fired after the photos emerged, with Sony executives apparently concerned over how her adult behaviour would clash with her commitments to a family-film franchise.
The former Hannah Montana star was meant to play teenage vampire Mavis, the daughter of Adam Sandler's Dracula. Shortly after her departure from the project in 2012, it was then announced that Selena Gomez would be replacing her.
Miley's penis cake admission came as part of a long Twitter thread in which she opened up about her past missteps and denied cheating on Liam.
"I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide," she wrote.
She finished the thread by adding: "I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where i was when I was a younger."
