EastEnders star Patsy Palmer has teased her upcoming return to Albert Square as Bianca Jackson, revealing just how long her stint will last.

Appearing on today's (June 20) This Morning, the actress was asked about the reason for the character's return, and while she didn't give too much away, she confirmed she will be back for a few weeks.

"You're back here for three weeks?" Phillip Schofield asked, with Patsy replying: "Yeah."

The actress was then asked about her return storyline and whether it has something to do with on-screen daughter Tiffany (Maisie Smith).

"I guess it's probably a bit of everything," she said. "I've seen bits of what Maisie's doing – she's so brilliant. You go and come back and she's a woman.

"I've always said it's odd when major characters don't return when something [major is happening]."

Patsy also recalled the conversation she had that convinced her to come back while living in the US.

She explained: "Usually they have people back and you have to be there for a year. That's how the contracts are.

"That wouldn't work for me, and [son] Bertie's still only 8. When I got the call back for a short stint I said, 'Yeah'.

"It just feels like you've never been away. The character's so brilliant, so I'm really always grateful."

EastEnders airs on BBC One. This Morning airs on ITV.
