Emmerdale's most dramatic episodes of the year so far are now just a couple of days away, as the villagers have a night on the town that they won't forget in a hurry.
The ITV soap's Big Night Out storyline will include Maya Stepney's downfall, a terrible ordeal for Victoria Barton and a mystery stabbing as one character gets attacked.
So far, there's been no word on which familiar face will be the victim of the stabbing – but we've rounded up nine of the most likely possibilities right here.
1. Ellis Chapman
Emmerdale bosses have already confirmed that Ellis's life will be in danger as part of the dramatic storyline. When Ellis heads out into town for some fun with the other villagers, he's unaware that gangster Max is secretly following him.
Max is out for revenge against Billy and his family after the failed robbery plan on Easter Monday. Keeping a close eye on Ellis at the club, Max sneakily takes a picture of him and sends it to Billy as a warning. It's clear that Ellis has become Max's target, so will this lead to a senseless stabbing?
2. Billy Fletcher
Ellis may be in the firing line, but Max is likely to harbour much bigger resentment towards Billy for failing to keep his promises over the warehouse robbery plan. Unsurprisingly, when Billy receives the ominous picture message from Max, he rushes off to the club to join the others and protect his brother.
Max was a dodgy acquaintance of Billy's back in the day, but loyalty doesn't strike us as his strongest suit. This means one theory is that Max is using Ellis as bait to lure Billy to the scene, before brutally attacking him.
3. Max
One of the main hooks for the Big Night Out storyline is how far Billy will go to protect his family. We've seen Billy try to shake off his troubled past ever since he arrived in the village at Christmas, but it's no secret that he does have a darker side.
When Billy arrives at the club in the hope of saving his brother, there's likely to be a final confrontation with Max. Could Billy be the one who lashes out violently in the heat of the moment, leaving his old associate fighting for his life?
4. Maya Stepney
Maya's comeuppance is bound to provide must-see television, and we're all eager to see how far the villagers will go to make her pay once her true colours are finally exposed. Louisa Clein, who plays Maya, has revealed that the predatory schoolteacher faces an "unbelievable fury" after someone catches her in a compromising position with Jacob Gallagher.
Of course, with this being Emmerdale's biggest story of recent months, it's highly likely that there'll be a few more twists to the tale before Maya gets carted off by the police. Could one of her enemies violently lash out in the heat of the moment?
With Emmerdale's recent trailer showing Maya looking bloodied and dishevelled, it's a possibility we shouldn't rule out.
5 and 6. Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle
While it's always great to see Soapland's most-shipped couple in the spoilers, things are a little hazy on the Robron front when it comes to the Big Night Out. We know they're among 13 characters who'll be featuring in the episodes, but the show hasn't actually released any details of what their involvement will be.
Could the boys just be making up the numbers, or might the show's bosses be hiding a twist? Given the animosity that's existed between Aaron and Billy in the past, it'd certainly be an interesting move to see Robron get involved in the Max dramas – although we're not sure how Robron shippers' emotions would cope with seeing them caught in the crossfire.
7 and 8. David and Tracy Metcalfe
David and Tracy risk the wrath of Maya this week when they share a kiss at the nightclub. David turns to his ex-wife for comfort after Maya urges him not to go through with a planned proposal, which leaves him questioning the future of their ill-fated relationship.
Although David and Tracy instantly regret their moment of passion, it's already too late as Maya is watching. Could she lash out in an argument with the pair?
9. Leyla Harding
Leyla is another character who takes centre stage in the Big Night Out trailer, clearly full of rage as she's seen smashing a mirror in anger. This, of course, is likely to be a taste of how she'll react when the truth comes out over Maya and Jacob's disturbing relationship.
The show seems to be preparing us for the ultimate showdown between Leyla and Maya, but could the latter turn nastier than ever if things gets heated? We'd put nothing past Maya if she tries to defend herself…
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
