Dancing on Ice celebrated Valentine's Day this week by allowing one of the show's riggers to propose to his girlfriend on the ice.

Before Sunday's show went live, terrified audience member Patsy was pulled out onto the ice and sat on a stool in front of everyone.

A group of the show's professional skaters then came out and presented Patsy with a bunch of red roses.

Shortly after, her boyfriend Toby cautiously stepped out onto the ice and made his way across to her, nervously attempting not to fall over in the process and humiliate himself in front of the studio audience.

He then got down on one knee, presented her with a ring and asked her to marry him. Literal sparks flew from the stage behind them and the audience cheered as she said yes.
