Good Morning Britain presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid were startled by a loud noise during Tuesday's programme (April 23).

The pair were about to introduce Bananarama when a sound could be heard off-camera which seemed to make the presenters pause for thought – and it was certainly loud enough for Susanna to reassure viewers at home.

"I have no idea what that was," said Richard.

"It sounds like something falling down and hopefully no-one injured," Susanna added.

The noise wasn't addressed again on the programme, so it seems everyone was fine.

There was another disruption of sorts during Monday's show (April 21) too, when former The Only Way Is Essex star James Argent made his presenting debut.

Filling in for Richard Arnold on his entertainment segment, Arg was discussing the most recent Line of Duty episode just hours after it aired and revealed a major spoiler for those who hadn't had the chance to see it yet.

Oh dear.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV.
