The mastermind of the LRD paper leak case is Manish Sharma, a resident of Haryana, Gandhinagar police said on Thursday. Sharma's name has also appeared in several other paper leak cases, police said.
Sharma was also involved in Food Corporation of India (FCI) paper leak case of Madhya Pradesh that happened in May, police said.
According to a senior police official, Sharma is a professional and has been doing it since last 10 years. Sharma had also allegedly paid Rs2Cr to a printing press in Madhya Pradesh to get the papers of FCI. The Gandhinagar police suspect that he might have even got the LRD paper by bribing the press.
"The leaking gang comprises three main accused, out of which one is Sharma, while other two names are not revealed and all three are wanted in the matter," police said.
The three that have been identified in the LRD case are Ashwin Parmar, Nilesh Chauhan and Suresh Pandya, police said.
The investigation revealed that Parmar, Chauhan and Pandya, were the people who arranged the paper for the students and took their money and took them to Delhi. Thirty-two people have been arrested for allegedly purchasing the papers.
The police will be able to understand the link once Sharma is arrested.
