The Gujarat police is likely to search places in Delhi and Gurugram to investigate into the Lok Rakshak Dal (LRD) recruitment test paper leak case.

The police presented three accused persons before the court for remand and informed that the investigation would require them to visit the places outside Gujarat.

In the remand application moved on Friday before the chief judicial magistrate in Gandhinagar district court, the cops sought 14 days of remand for all three accused persons. The police had arrested the accused, Yashpal Solanki, Indravadan Parmar and Rajendrasinh Vaghela, all of whom were on the run, on Thursday.

The court allowed 10 days of remand for Solanki and Parmar while five days remand was granted for Vaghela.

The police also mentioned that one Yashpal’s name was also revealed by the accused in the case.

The police also said that during the cross-examination of the three, they had revealed two more names – Mahendrasinh Bodana and Ashwin Rajput – of people who were involved in the paper leak.

However, the accused were not revealing more information on Bodana and Rajput and therefore, their remand was necessary, added the cops.

The application also said, “Rajendra Vaghela had confessed during the cross-examination that some people talking in Haryanvi accents took him to Gurugram and had booked room number 207 in one hotel there. Although he did not know the name of the hotel, he could identify the place, if taken to Gurugram city.” “Vaghela and other boys who had gone to get the paper were taken to some place in Gurugram, so it is necessary to take him there to identify it,” the police mentioned.

The investigation officer has also pleaded before the court that search operations at the places of Yashwant Solanki and Indravadan Parmar were required and that they would be taken to their houses for the same.

The police is also going to check whether the paper was shared on social media platforms to send it to other candidates.
