RCFR: West Jefferson Pike reopened after closure from overturned trailer

After being closed for several hours, West Jefferson Pike near Hickory Grove Road in Murfreesboro has been reopened. 

According to a tweet issued by Rutherford County Fire Rescue, the road was reopened around 1:30 p.m. Monday. 

A trailer hauling cars overturned on West Jefferson Pike on Monday morning, closing the road for several hours.

The driver was successfully removed from the truck and treated on the scene, according to RCFR spokeswoman Lisa Sloan. He has been transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No one else was harmed in the crash.

A tractor trailer hauling cars overturned on West Jefferson Pike Monday morning, July 17. The road will be closed for several hours, according to officials.
