CONCORD — Sketches of four people identified to have been in the area where a Concord man was shot to death four years ago were released by police Thursday.

Police have never made an arrest in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Erick Cruz on Sept. 12, 2015. Cruz died in the courtyard of the Pine Meadows apartment complex in the 1100 block of Meadow Lane near the intersection of Monument Boulevard and Oak Grove Road.

He’d been shot at least once.

New investigative leads and evidence caused Concord homicide investigators to re-open the case. On Thursday, they circulated on social media the forensic sketches of four people that police are interested in finding.

“The forensic sketches shown (are from) the last series of photographs of individuals that were identified in that area at the time of the homicide,” a police Facebook statement said. “We are seeking additional witnesses who were in the area and recall seeing any of these individuals.”

Anyone with information can call Concord police at 925-603-5836 and remain anonymous.
