Novaturient Managements to debut fashion show in Kohima

With an effort to promote fashion industry in Nagaland, a new event management group ‘Novaturient Managements’ would be organising a fashion show gala dubbed as “Ardour” with theme, “Fall/Winter 2019” from 6 pm onwards on Oct. 12 at RCEMPA Hall in Jotsoma which is about 8 km away from Kohima .

The new group of likeminded people who came into being just a month back consists of six members – Ruopfuzhano Whiso (FBB Colors Femina Miss India Nagaland 2017-18), Theja Sekhose (Fashion Designer), Neitho Khamo (Event Manager), Pelevinuo Rupreo (Miss Kohima 1st Runner up 2017-18), Moile Longkongly (Miss Phom 2017-18 ) and Kepenshi Thongliu (District SVEEP Election Icon for Kiphire 2018-19). ‘Novaturient Managements’ came together with an intention to uplift the ‘fashion industry’ especially in Nagaland .

Briefing media persons during a press conference held at Symphony Café in Kohima on Aug. 17, Theja informed that including thirty professional and aspiring models, the event powered by Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) will also feature a total of thirteen designers from both within and outside the State .

The organisers will also be conducting an audition for the aspiring models from St. Joseph’s College Jakhama at their college on Aug. 23 where those novices would be selected to participate at the event .

Also, the organisers have invited interested models to send a full length photograph and a 30-40 seconds video of them doing the ramp walk while male models are required to be clad in their right fitting clothes while female models are required to wear high heels with fitted clothes in the video . The performers have been informed to send their video file on or before Aug. 23 at the address – novaturient.nagaland@gmail.com .

Ruopfuzhanuo said they would be officially launching their agency Novaturient Managements during the event and apprised that apart from the fashion shows, stalls would also be set up at the venue for different designers to sell and showcase their products ranging from jewelleries to apparels while mega artists would also be invited to take part in the event .

Two hours prior to the show, the stalls would be open while modellers will also be using their products on the ramp. “We want to celebrate it with utmost glory, ” Ruopfuzhanuo said .

Meanwhile, Neitho said that Novaturient Managements’ main aims and objectives is to nurture the youth to be creative, innovative and ethical leaders and to advance their knowledge in pushing the boundaries in fashion, textiles, design and management to achieve a sustainable progress with a global outlook while aiming to maintain the unique quality and professional image of their clients and to lead and collaborate with partners on the development of Naga fashion and management scene .

“Our sole aim is to uplift all the components in the fashion industry,” said Neitho who is also a member of Beauty & Aesthetics Society of Nagaland ( BASN ) .

The members also intends to organise workshops, clinics and seminars on all the components of the industry from time to time by pitching in resource persons from outside the state to mould the enthusiastic youngsters in order to improve their talents in the field of fashion and designing. Such initiative would create marketing avenues for all these upcoming designers. “We want to give them a platform of opportunity to display their products and creations,” Neitho added .

He said that the ‘Ardour’ fashion night would be a ‘surprise to the masses’ as the members of the Novaturient Managements are going to present it in a very different manner which Neitho termed as an “exclusive show”.

Meanwhile, the gallery pass have been priced at INR 500 while donor pass have been fixed at INR 2000 which are now available at Lady Ruo ( Opp. Post Office ) and Theja Sekhose Store (Jasokie Building) in Kohima Town .
