Sarunas J. Jackson of Insecure fame sat down recently with EBONY to discuss his new BET series, Games People Play, stepping into the spotlight as a leading man and working opposite the talented Lauren London.

Jackson shared that like many stars, commercial acting was his entry point into the industry. He went on to land the role of Molly's sometimes-love interest, Dro, on Insecure, and now, his first leading role on Games People Play.

"When you're leading a show, I do believe that the lead sets the tone ... and it's way more work," the 6-foot-8 actor said. "Majority of the time, I'm there for a while. Some days, I have every scene from top to bottom."

In the new series, Jackson plays Marcus King, a philandering NBA star married to Vanessa King, played by London. The 29-year-old said that working with London was not only an honor but also a learning experience.

"She's thee realest cast mate or co-star I've ever worked with ... because of the way she is, you can just see the respect being given to her, just because of the way she carries herself. She helped me a lot, gave me tips on certain things, put me on game about stuff ... I was really happy to be on the show with her," he said.
