Girls basketball: Minnewaska wins third straight against previously-unbeaten Lakeview

The Minnewaska girls basketball team wrapped up its week with a third straight win, this one coming against previously unbeaten Lakeview in a 49-40 game on Saturday.

The Minnewaska girls basketball team wrapped up its week with a third straight win, this one coming against previously unbeaten Lakeview in a 49-40 game on Saturday.

The Lakers (4-1) shot just 25 percent from the field (15-59) but held the Lakers (4-1) to 21 percent (12-57). Junior forward Ellie Danielson led Minnewaska with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Aubrey Kaczmarek was Lakeview’s only player in double figures with 10 points.
