At least one person has been hurt in a crash between two cars on a road in Midlothian.

The crash took place between the B6372 and the B7026, south of Penicuik, around 12.40pm on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the scene including fire crews. It's understood at least one person has been taken to hospital by ambulance.

The road is expected to remain closed until the vehicles are recovered. A Ford Fiesta and a Renault Captur were involved.
