Dundee boss Jim McIntyre doesn't believe there will be any surprises from Hibs this Friday night despite having a new manager in place.

Paul Heckingbottom takes charge of his first away match as Hibs boss in front of the BT Sport cameras at Dens Park, seeking a second win from two games.

McIntyre expects a tough encounter against the Easter Road side, but is confident he has a pretty good handle on what Hibs bring to the table.

“They have got a new manager and it is going to be a tough game,” he said in the Dundee Courier.

“They got off to a good start under the new boss with that win over Hamilton and they’ve got good players.

“However, we are back at home in front of the TV cameras and want to put on a good performance.

“We know what players he (Heckingbottom) has to work with and we know their strengths and weaknesses like we do most of the other squads in the league.

“It’s about making sure yours are better than theirs on the night.”
