Police log: Multiple fireworks complaints on the Fourth of July

July 1

11:38 a.m. Theft of a gaming system and money was reported at a residence in the 200 block of Georgetown Court.

2:22 p.m. A charge of disorderly conduct is pending against a 52-year-old man, of Hanover, following a disturbance reported in the 100 block of Carlisle Street.

2:38 p.m. Fraud involving an unauthorized withdraw from a bank account was reported in the first block of Baltimore Street.

4:02 p.m. Chad Kellenberger, 42, of Hanover, was arrested and charged with retail theft and criminal trespass following an incident of shoplifting reported at a business in the 1100 block of Eichelberger Street. He was turned over to the York County Sheriff’s Department for further disposition.

4:03 p.m. Minor injuries were reported and towing was not required following a crash at Broadway and Wilson Avenue. A 2009 Toyota Prius operated by Paul Tily, of Littlestown, struck a 2019 Ford Explorer operated by Barbara Forrester, of Indianola, Mississippi.

7:02 p.m. Theft of a parcel package was reported in the 200 block of Locust Street.

7:59 p.m. Yancy Wilson, 25, of Hanover, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness following a disturbance reported in the 100 block of Baltimore Street. He was turned over to the York County Sheriff’s Department for further disposition.

9:04 p.m. Randy Riley, 64, of Hanover, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment following a disturbance reported in the 300 block of Highland Avenue. He was turned over to the York County Sheriff’s Department for further disposition.

9:35 p.m. Suspicious female subject reported loitering at a business in the 300 block of Frederick Street was located and checked out OK.

9:45 p.m. Disturbance involving several disorderly subjects being loud outside was reported in the 100 block of Carlisle Street.

10:29 p.m. A charge of criminal mischief is pending against a 64-year-old man, of Hanover, following an incident reported in the first block of Frederick Street.

July 2

12:13 a.m. Disturbance involving several subjects being loud was reported in the 200 of Baer Avenue.

8:20 a.m. Disturbance involving a verbal argument between two subjects was reported in the 100 block of Spring Avenue.

8:21 a.m. Minor injuries were reported and towing was not required following a crash at High Street and Maple Avenue. A 2012 Nissan Altima operated by Sandra Wolfe, of Gettysburg, struck a bicycle ridden by Frank Pittenturf Jr., of Hanover.

3:32 p.m. Theft was reported in the 100 block of Third Street where a firearm was taken from a residence.

3:51 p.m. Domestic argument between two juveniles was reported in the 1300 block of Broadway.

4:22 p.m. Domestic argument between a man and a woman was reported in the 400 block of Carlisle Street.

5:30 p.m. Suspicious male subject reported loitering in the 100 block of Second Avenue was not located.

5:32 p.m. No injuries were reported and towing was required following a crash in the 200 block of Carlisle Street. A 2018 Kia Sportage operated by Olivia Crawford, of Hanover, struck a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe operated by Paula Barnes-Nusbaum, of Hanover

6:57 p.m. Retail theft that occurred several days prior was reported at a business in the 400 block of Eisenhower Drive.

7:58 p.m. No injuries were reported and towing was not required following a crash in the first block of Mount Royal Avenue. A white in color Chrysler 300 operated by an unknown female struck a parked 2009 Honda Element owned by Patricia Knoll, of Hanover, then fled the scene.

July 3

1:03 a.m. Disturbance involving two disorderly male subjects was reported in the 100 block of Carlisle Street.

1:13 a.m. Domestic argument between a man and a woman was reported in the 100 block of East Middle Street.

8:38 a.m. A charge of public drunkenness is pending against a 38-year-old woman, of Hanover, following an incident reported in the first block of West Hanover Street.

11:40 a.m. Disturbance involving loud noise was reported in the 200 block of Poplar Street.

11:40 a.m. Harassment by communications involving unwanted voicemails was reported in the 400 block of Clearview Road.

12:35 p.m. No injuries were reported and towing was required following a crash in the 100 block of Eisenhower Drive. A 1997 Jeep Cherokee operated by Dianne Bynaker, of Hanover, struck a 2003 Kenworth truck tractor and trailer operated by Ronald Strayer, of Fairfield.

12:39 p.m. Minor injuries were reported and towing was required following a crash in the 1000 block of High Street. A 2006 Ford Taurus operated by Alexandra Myers, of Hanover, struck a 2013 Honda CR-V operated by Stephanie Ciccone, of Littlestown

1:30 p.m. Fraud involving the unauthorized use of a debit account was reported in the 200 block of North Franklin Street.

1:35 p.m. Disturbance involving an irate patron was reported at a business in the 500 block of Eisenhower Drive.

1:59 p.m. Disturbance involving an irate patron was reported at a business in the 100 block of Carlisle Street.

3:02 p.m. Criminal mischief was reported in the 400 block of South Franklin Street where two flower pots were damaged.

3:51 p.m. Retail theft and criminal mischief charges are pending against a 48-year-old woman, of Hanover, following an incident of shoplifting reported at a business in the 800 block of Carlisle Street.

5:07 p.m. Harassment between two women was reported in the 200 block of Klayton Street.

7:08 p.m. Moderate injuries were reported and towing was required following a crash in the 400 block of Eisenhower Drive. A 2017 Hyundai Elantra operated by Jennifer Knoedler, of Manchester, Maryland, struck Timothy and Kathy Holsinger, both of East Berlin.

7:48 p.m. Domestic argument between several family members was reported in the 100 block of Pleasant Street.

7:56 p.m. Retail theft was reported at a business in 400 block of Eisenhower Drive where a male subject shoplifted a television and left the store before police were called.

10:11 p.m. Disturbance involving a loud party was reported in the 800 block of Blossom Drive.

11:03 p.m. Disturbance involving fireworks being set off was reported in the first block of York Street.

11:36 p.m. Criminal mischief was reported in the first block of West Walnut Street where a door and a window were damaged.

11:55 p.m. Domestic argument between a man and a woman was reported in the 700 block of Broadway.

July 4

12:10 a.m. Disturbance involving a disorderly female subject was reported in the 700 block of Broadway.

1:25 a.m. Charges for simple assault and harassment were filed and an arrest warrant was obtained for Deandre Ethridge, 40, of Hanover, following a domestic altercation reported in the 100 block of Kuhn Drive.

1:53 a.m. Disturbance involving a verbal argument between a man and a woman was reported in the area of East Hanover and McAllister streets.

3:06 a.m. Criminal trespass was reported at a business in the 100 block of Carlisle Street involving a female subject loitering on private property who was located and warned.

4:49 a.m. Christie Trent, 38, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness following an incident reported in the 300 block of Frederick Street.

9:41 p.m. Disturbance involving a neighbor dispute was reported in the 500 block of Baltimore Street.

1:21 p.m. No injuries were reported and towing was required following a crash at Broadway and Eisenhower Drive. A 2015 Ford Fusion operated by Julia Kadochnikova, of Rockville, Maryland, collided with a 2003 Toyota Camry operated by a York juvenile.

6:23 p.m. Domestic argument between a man and a woman was reported in the 100 block of Carlisle Street.

8 p.m. Grady Davis, 38, of Dover, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following a disturbance reported in the 100 block of North Street. The same charges are pending against a 34-year-old man, of Hanover, stemming from the same incident.

9:29 p.m. Disturbance involving a verbal argument between two women was reported on Center Square.

9:45 p.m. Disturbance involving fireworks being set off was reported in the 100 block of North Franklin Street.

9:55 p.m. Suspicious circumstance was reported in the 500 block of York Street where a door to a residence was found ajar. The residence was checked and everything appeared to be OK.

11:59 p.m. Possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking charges are pending against a 14-year-old Abbottstown juvenile following an incident reported in the first block of Moul Avenue.

July 1

1 a.m. A complainant in the 500 block of Baltimore Street reported suspicious activity because she was missing items from around her home.

5:21 a.m. Police responded to the first block of Brewster Street for an alarm that turned out to be a false medical alarm. 

9:38 a.m. A civil issue between landlord and tenant in the 300 block of Westminster Avenue. They were advised to keep the peace.

9:38 a.m. A man was cited at Baltimore Street and Black Rock Road for scattering rubbish on the roadway.

11:05 a.m. Report of a suspicious person in the first block of Wayne Avenue who removed some trespassing signs from a property.

2:20 p.m. Found property in the first block of Wayne Avenue was turned over to police and returned to the owner. 

2:57 p.m. Police were called to the 600 block of York Street for a parking complaint.

3:10 p.m. Found property in the 600 block of York Street was turned over to police and returned to the owner.

3:31 p.m. A domestic issue in the first block of Hirtland Avenue about child custody. They were advised to keep the peace.

3:54 p.m. Dispute in the 200 block of Park Heights Boulevard about vehicle ownership. It was referred to Pennsylvania State Police.

4:37 p.m. A hazard was dispatched in the first block of Willow Court for suspicious items in a home, but no issues were found. 

9:11 p.m. James Thomas, 50, was picked up on warrants at Baugher Drive and Westminster Avenue. 

11:36 p.m. John Hiltz, 48, was arrested for DUI at Beck Mill and Grandview roads and taken to central booking. 

July 2

7:34 a.m. Police assisted a citizen in the 300 block of Westminster Avenue who had an ongoing landlord tenant issue.

7:39 a.m. Police located a hit-and-run tractor trailer in the 1000 block of York Street that struck a sign in Adams County, which caused it to spill fuel from Mt. Pleasant to the 1000 block of York Street. The hazmat team also responded. 

9:55 a.m. A complainant in the 200 block of Bragg Circle reported a theft from their unlocked vehicle.

10:30 a.m. Report of a parking complaint in the 500 block of Hammond Avenue. 

11:45 a.m. A disturbance at a business in the 100 block of Wilson Avenue with an irate customer. They were advised to keep the peace and move along. 

1 p.m. Report of a dog left in a vehicle in the 200 block of Fame Avenue. It was not located. 

2:30 p.m. Police dealt with a child custody issue in the first block of Wayne Avenue.

4:17 p.m. Police and Children and Youth Services checked the welfare of some children at a residence in the 600 block of York Street.

5:20 p.m. A police assisted the utility company at Carlisle Street and Eisenhower Drive with directing traffic because of a transformer fire. 

10:44 p.m. Police assisted and got medical attention for a subject at Park Heights Boulevard and Granger Street who had fallen. 

July 3

12:26 a.m. Report of a suspicious subject in the first block of Meadowview Drive ringing a door bell. The subject was not located.  

12:59 a.m. A subject in the 1100 block of Westminster Avenue was taken into custody on warrants following vehicle stop. 

1:51 a.m. Alarm in the 800 block of Baltimore Street. Checked out all OK.

4:48 a.m. Police assisted a subject in the 100 block of Mumma Avenue get home. 

7:30 a.m. A subject was taken into custody at Industrial Drive and Gitts Run Road on a warrant.

9:48 a.m Police assisted Children and Youth Services in the 1000 block of Pearl Drive.

11:59 a.m. Report taken in the 500 block of Baltimore Street following a vehicle stop. 

12:20 p.m. Complainant in the 500 block of McAllister Street reported receiving unwanted phone calls.

2:03 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Westminster Avenue. The vehicle was gone on police arrival. 

2:20 p.m. Dispute in the 700 block of York Street about property. 

2:31 p.m. Two subjects were warned in the 200 block of Blooming Grove Road for trespassing. 

3:20 p.m. A subject at Ridge and Wilson avenues was turned over to a constable following a vehicle stop and warrant check. 

8:13 p.m. A minor vehicle crash at Grandview Road and Laurel Drive. No injuries were reported. 

9:50 p.m. Report of fireworks in the area of the first block of Overlook Drive. 

10:01 p.m. Subjects in the first block of South Center Street arguing. They were advised to keep the peace.

10:51 p.m. Report of a suspicious subject in the 500 block of Frederick Street. The subject was gone on police arrival. 

July 4

12:55 a.m. Report of loud subjects in the 100 block of Mussetta Street. They were quiet on police arrival. 

1:30 p.m. Police assisted another agency in the first block of Scenic Drive. 

3:15 p.m. Multiple firework complaints reported in Penn Township. 

4:39 p.m. Report of an erratic driver at Grandview Road and York Street. The driver was gone on police arrival. 

9:24 p.m. Parties arguing in the 500 block of Ridge Avenue. They were advised to keep the peace.

10:27 p.m. Report of fireworks in the 800 block of York Street. 

10:42 p.m. Report of fireworks in the first block of Ivy Circle.
