THE devastated daughter of a dying man has made a heartfelt plea for help to give her dad his final wish to be buried in Glasgow.

Doctors have warned Jenna McIntyre her dad, Paddy Brolly, likely won't live more than a week after a heart attack in September last year sent his health into a downward spiral.

Paddy was on the heart transplant list but the lengthy wait time means he is no longer strong enough to have surgery and has been placed on palliative care.

The 47-year-old is originally from Castlemilk but is now understood to be living in Ayrshire.

His family are desperate to raise the £3,000 deposit needed to have him buried in Linn Cemetery near his childhood home.

On a gofundme page, Jenna wrote: "My dad's dying wish is to be laid to rest in the Linn Park (Cemetery), Glasgow, as that's his home town with being a Castlemilk boy.

"Before we can get the ball rolling we need £3,000 upfront for the directors. I’d like to respect my dad's wishes and lay him to rest back home where he belongs as this is all he's asked.

"As a family we've tried to raise the deposit but with very little time left I'm asking if anyone could donate it would be very appricated from the full family and Paddy."

She added: "[I] just want too keep my dad forever but I’ll have to settle for giving him the best send off he deserves as he’s one in a million, [the] best dad and granda leaving behind his son, daughter, two grandkids, partner, sisters and family."

So far the family have managed to raise £277 of their goal.
