For some people it will feel like only yesterday, dancing around to music with your denim shirt tucked in and MP3 player blaring in your ears.

But many readers won't even have been born - or only saw the 1990s as a baby.

It was a decade filled with technological advances, Titanic rocking the box office and music fans going wild for the likes of Oasis, Spice Girls and Take That.

So we asked the people of Sheffield what they missed most about that special decade.

Take a trip down memory lane and just some of the things that people miss most about the Steel City in the 90s.

1) Hole in the Road - this is one of the city's most memorable landmarks and was development on Castle Square roundabout. It was made up of a number of underpasses converging into a huge open space in the middle of a busy roundabout.

2) Josephine's - a popular night club which is remembered as one of the oddest nights out in the city. It was a bit of everything - a restaurant, wine bar and a nightclub.

3) The Drop, City Hall Ballroom - this night out was extremely popular with punters and offered three different rooms with different genres of music.

4) C&A - this popular clothing business was on the High Street close to Fitzalan Square and provided hundreds of jobs for the people of Sheffield before it closed its doors.

5) Rebels - a popular rock nightclub in Dixon Street which was known for its never ending stairs, dingy inside and sticky carpets.

6) Wapentake Bar - this was a bar in the basement of the Grosvenor House Hotel. Affectionately known as 'The Wap'.

7) Cheap buses - not a lot needs to be said about this. Nothing compares to the prices back in the day.

8) Cheaper beer - in 1992 you could get your hands on a pint for around £1. Now you're lucky to get a decent drink for around £3.

9) Shops - Back in the 90s you could spend hours exploring the shelves of Blockbuster or stuffing your face with Pick n mix in Woolworths.
