Traffic eased on M62

Traffic has eased considerably on the westbound M62.

There were long queues in the lead up to junction 27 for the M621 after one lane was closed for emergency pot hole repairs.

The lane closure is going to remain in place throughout the rest of the day and overnight.

Woodhead Road closed

Woodhead Road, over the Pennines south of Huddersfield, is closed in both directions while recovery work is ongoing following an earlier accident. The closure is from Fieldhead Lane to Rake Head Road.

M62 lane closure will be in place all day

Travel time 30 minutes on M62

Our travel partner INRIX says it is taking motorists around 30 minutes to make their way through the queues in the lead up to junction 27 on the westbound M62.

One lane remains closed while emergency repairs to pot holes in lane one are completed.

Slow moving traffic on M62 due to pot hole repairs

The pot hole repairs on the westbound carriageway at junction 27 for the M621 are still going on.

Lane one (of three) is closed and traffic is slow moving as a result. Queues are trundling along at a slow pace but currently start before junction 29 for the M1.

A1 queues of over an hour

All lanes have now opened on the A1 after an earlier stalled vehicle blocked the inside lane. There are over 10 miles of queues to clear though and journey time is up to an hour and 15 minutes.

Stalled vehicle on A1

There are long delays on the northbound A1, heading towards Leeds, this morning after a stalled vehicle has closed one lane.

The queues start around Old Great North Road (Darrington Turn Off) and congestion lasts until beyond junction 38 (Darton / Huddersfield). Travel time is around 40 minute. Lane one (of two) is closed.

Emergency pot hole repairs causing long queues on M62

There is one lane closed on the westbound M62 near junction 27 for the M621 and Gildersome due to emergency repairs. This is causing very slow traffic and congestion back to junction 28 for Tingley. Lane one (of three) is closed for urgent pot hole repairs.
