Princess Diana had this very long title - does Camilla Duchess of Cornwall have the same?

PRINCESS DIANA is still known fondly by that nickname, but it was never really the royal’s official title. In fact, Diana, who sadly died in a car crash in 1997, had a different much longer title.

Paul Burrell: I hid a photo of Princess Diana to protect her

Princess Diana died tragically in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997, leaving behind two young sons Prince Harry, now 33, and Prince William, now 35.

However, a divorcee when she died, Princess Diana, age 36 at the time, no longer had a royal title.

Still known as Princess Diana, she was in fact entitled to be called Lady Diana.

But while married to Prince Charles, now 58, the lovely Diana had a very long title indeed.

Her full title was “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales and Countess of Chester, Duchess of Cornwall, Duchess of Rothesay, Countess of Carrick, Baroness of Renfrew, Lady of the Isles, Princess of Scotland.”

However, Camilla Parker Bowles the Duchess of Cornwall is only known as such for now, until Charles is made king.

Princess Diana of Wales marriage to Prince Charles meant she had this very long title

Rather a mouthful, it’s no doubt the public continued to called the people’s princess by her much shorter nickname.

Princess Diana hoped to keep the styling of "Her Royal Highness" after her divorce.

Touchingly Prince William comforted his mother in a sweet way.

Paul Burrell revealed in his book A Royal Duty: “She told me how he had sat with her one night when she was upset over the loss of HRH, put his arms around her and said, 'Don't worry, Mummy. I will give it back to you one day when I am king.’”

All the royals have very long titles that they are rarely called in full - what are they?
