MEGHAN MARKLE and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, have a surprising thing in common, a royal biography has revealed.

Both had moments in their youth when they suddenly showed a very different side to them. For Kate, this was on the catwalk in the Don’t Walk fashion show at St Andrews University. It was during this event that William realised he had feelings for Kate.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl said: “When Kate came out dressed in this amazing see-through dress and her lingerie William just – I mean, his eyes popped out and he turned to his friend and he said ‘Wow, Kate’s hot!’"
A university friend of William’s Jules Knight added: “She was on the catwalk and looked amazing and suddenly this sort of butterfly emerged from the chrysalis.”
For Meghan, this was during a school performance of the 1955 musical comedy Damn Yankees, according to royal biographer Andrew Morton.
Meghan was playing the star role of Lola, who attempts to seduce baseball fan turned star player Joe Hardy.

In his 2018 book ‘Meghan: A Hollywood Princess’, Mr Morton wrote: “When Meghan, dressed in long satin gloves and a sequin teotard shimmied across the stage in the sassy burlesque number, Whatever Lola Wants, she brought the house down.”
One audience member told him: “It was like ‘Woooo!’ She was extraordinary.
“I remember sitting there thinking, ‘Oh my goodness, this is an Immaculate Heart girl’
“She was wearing the little spangly number, doing the shimmies, the whole bit.

“It wasn’t lewd. She was playing a character. It was sweet in a way, but it was also like ‘Wow’. This was a girl with star quality.”
Mr Morton called these two incidents “very similar”.
The normally “demure” Kate showed that she could be sexy as well as smart, while Meghan also showed she had another side to her.
Mr Morton said: “It was an eye-opener for those teachers and classmates who were seeing a very different side to Meghan.
“Normally seen as fun, but thoughtful, mature and controlled, Meghan’s amourous song and dance routine was a revelation.”
What’s more, for Kate it was the start of a relationship with Prince William.
Meanwhile for Meghan, it was her star performance at school and surely propelled her into her acting career.
