Meghan Markle news: How Meghan had ‘no choice’ on private jet after couple's ‘obsessions’
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry landed themselves in hot water this week after it emerged they were flying private jets to lavish holiday destination, despite being vocal about wanting to fight global warming.

Meghan Markle and husband Prince Harry recently jetted off in a private plane to spend time in Sir Elton John’s villa in the French Riviera. The couple and their three-month-old son Archie Harrison were pictured landing in France last Wednesday, their second reported use of a private jet this summer. In total, the family of three took four private jets in just 11 days this month.

However, the Sussexes have previously been vocal on multiple occasions about the dangers of global warming.
Prince Harry recently urged people to think of the choices they can make to help fight climate change.
In a post on the @SussexRoyal Instagram account he wrote: “With nearly 7.7 billion people inhabiting this Earth, every choice, every footprint, every action makes a difference.”
Harry and Meghan have since been called out for hypocrisy.

In another Instagram post this week, the couple appear to have made a statement in response to the criticism.
Quoting South African cleric Desmond Tutu, they posted a photo reading: “Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
The caption from the Sussexes read: “An inspiring quote for the day - wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
“The Archbishop is an anti-apartheid and human rights activist, who was honoured with the Nobel Peace Prize for his continued efforts to champion equality for all.”

But the post, published on Tuesday, saw Meghan and Harry hit by a barrage of criticism.
One Instagram user replied: “I would suggest that your contribution is to fly first class rather than on private jets all the time - a very small price to pay to avoid the obvious charges of wanton hypocrisy when preaching generally very positive messages to others.”
Another said: “Your little bit of good might be flying on commercial rather than always Private... remember that footprint you both talk about.”
A third wrote: “You leave yourself wide open for criticism practice what you preach.”
A royal expert has now said the couple probably made the choice to fly private because of their obsession with privacy.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk: “They are pilloried for taking private jets on holiday when in reality they had little choice given their obsession, rightly, with privacy.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has previously come under fire for not sharing enough with the public.
In July, they chose to keep son Archie’s christening private, not even revealing who his godparents are.
