Fight Club: PRO prides itself on bringing the world’s best pro-wrestlers to Wolverhampton, but International Tekkers is the annual show where they take that commitment to the next level.

Across a seven match card, only one match was contested between people who are based in Wolverhampton, and that was for the Junior Championship of Japan’s Sendai Girls.

Indeed after Coventry’s Millie McKenzie defeated Charli Evans to retain her title, it was announced that Fight Club: PRO would host Sendai Girls for their first-ever UK show on July 27.

In the main event, the owner of Sendai Girls, Meiko Satomura would once again defend her Fight Club: PRO World Title against Mark Davis. This was a war, with both people laying into each other with hard strikes throughout the match.

They would also brawl all over The Hangar, with Satomura ultimately putting Davis through a table. As the match came to a climax, the champion was dissecting a bloodied challenger, only for Davis to recover long-enough to hit a sitdown piledriver for the victory.

The defeat ended Satomura’s eleven month title reign, a run that had helped establish Fight Club: PRO on the world stage.

As she left the ring, her fellow pro-wrestlers gave her a guard of honour, with WWE UK superstar and Fight Club: PRO co-owner, Trent Seven, making a now rare public appearance in The Hangar to pay tribute to her.

That was not the only title to change hands, as one month before the Dream Tag Team Invitational takes place over the Easter weekend, Fight Club PRO presented a blockbuster four-way match for the promotion’s tag team titles.

Tipton’s Jim and Lee Hunter, issued an open challenge that was initially answered by WWE UK Tag Team Champions Zac Gibson and James Drake. Gibson would cut a hilarious and incendiary promotion, which was absolutely not suitable for children.

But before the match could begin, both Damien Dunne and Santos, and America’s Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett would add themselves to the match.

This was a wild match, with all four teams letting it all hang out, after they hit big move after big move. It would be the Americans who claimed the title, pinning Dunne to seize the titles.

It’s a testament to how stacked this line-up was, that the opener saw Tipton’s Chris Brookes face Cima, a legend of Japanese pro-wrestling who in May will feature in a major show in Las Vegas.

Brookes would win a fun match, shockingly submitting Cima. Likewise, Birmingham’s Dan Maloney would also force America’s Timothy Thatcher to quit.
