Taxi driver assaulted by passenger in Lichfield

A passenger assaulted a taxi driver and damaged his vehicle before fleeing from the scene.

The 57-year-old driver had to be taken to hospital with facial injuries after the incident in Bore Street, Lichfield, and has since been discharged.

The offender had also caused damage to his vehicle, and made off towards the university.

The incident happened at about 3.50am on November 18 and no arrests have been made.
