The Old Fallings Adventure Playground, also known as Peach Tree, on Old Fallings Crescent, was reduced to a burnt out shell in the early hours of Sunday morning after becoming engulfed in flames.

The fire broke out at 3am and quickly destroyed the green space.

It was closed permanently in 2016 after vandalism attacks and has stood empty since.

Now, West Midlands Fire Service investigations believe the fire at the site was "started deliberately."

Around 30 firefighters tackled the blaze that affected 100 per cent of the site, and fire investigators were seen picking through the debris in the aftermath to determine the fire's cause.

Despite now believing the site was deliberately set alight, West Midlands Fire Service confirmed that the cause of the fire is still yet to be determined.
