EMERGENCY Services rushed to the aid of a man in the river at Malpas in the early hours of this morning.
Falmouth Coastguards were tasked to a report a person in the water near Truro just after 4am.
Devon & Cornwall Police and South Western Ambulance Service, Falmouth Lifeboat and Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R924 were also tasked to assist.
As coastguards headed to the scene, information was received that a member of the public had rowed out and recovered the casualty to shore.
Team members continued to the incident and found the casualty in the care of police and paramedics.
