As August arrives, students around the county watch the calendar countdown to results day, waiting to see what their envelopes will hold.

Truro and Penwith College will be offering support throughout the results period, whether it’s GCSE students heading into Further Education or Apprenticeships, or A Level students looking for a university course.

For students receiving their A Level results, Truro and Penwith College’s University Centre is holding an advice session at which staff will be on-hand to help students apply to one of the college’s university courses through clearing.

From silversmithing to archaeology and from human behavioural studies to education and training, Truro and Penwith College has a range of courses.

Held in the Fal building at Truro College between 10am and 3pm and Sennen building at Penwith College between 10am and 5pm, the advice day on Thursday, August 15 offers you the chance to sit down with someone and go through all of your options whatever your results.

The following week, the college will be hosting its advice days for students getting their GCSE results, whether they have already applied to the College or would like to.

Upon receiving their results, students are encouraged to phone the college during their given time slot to discuss their results and options. If students don’t get the results they were expecting, they can arrange an advice session with a member of staff at the College on either Tuesday 27 or Wednesday 28 August.

These advice sessions can also be used to discuss options if a student is considering applying to Truro and Penwith College for September.

To speak to someone at the college during this period, call Truro College on 01872 267000 or Penwith College on 01736 335000.
