Sean Rash made a big move from fifth heading into the last game to first to earn the top seed for today’s stepladder finals at the 2019 PBA Wilmington Open.

Rash shot 260 in the final game of the Round of 8 at Ten Pin Alley Family Fun Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, to bolt up the leaderboard. He finished with a 17-game total of 4,001, a 235.35 average.

Joining Rash on the show will be BJ Moore, Andrew Anderson and Marshall Kent. The finals are set to begin at 3 p.m. Eastern today live on FloBowling.

Rash entered the two-game Round of 8 in fourth place and shot 215 the first game to drop outside the cut number. He finished strong with 260 and despite leaving a five-count split on his final ball, earning the top seed.

He just barely went around Moore in the standings, who struggled down the stretch with a 175 game that included a gutter on a spare. Moore finished in second with 3,998, just three pins behind Rash.

Kent earned the third seed with 3,990, while Anderson took fourth with 3,989. Those two will meet in the opening match of the stepladder finals.

Kyle Sherman finished in fifth place, missing the show by 41 pins. EJ Tackett finished sixth, shooting 186 the final game to drop from inside the number to outside the number.
