Chelsea suffered a late blow ahead of their Premier League match with Norwich City this afternoon.

Pedro was set to start his third Premier League game on the bounce on the right wing, however in the warm up he picked up an injury.

The Spaniard was going through shooting practice towards the end of the session, however pulled up just as he was about to take another shot.

The 32-year-old then started to feel his hamstring and flex his knee, before speaking with the physios and looking to get some treatment on his right leg.

Pedro finished the warm up, however looked in real discomfort as he went back down the tunnel.

It then emerged that the veteran winger would not take his place in the starting XI and was instead replaced by substitute Ross Barkley instead.

Frank Lampard went with a 4-3-3 to start, with Barkley playing on the left of the three in midfield and Mason Mount instead being pushed up into the left wing role.

It is another blow for Lampard, with N'Golo Kante not fit to be in the matchday squad, and Antonio Rudiger still not fully recovered from his knee injury.

A blistering start to the game saw Tammy Abraham open the scoring and then Todd Cantwell equalise to make it 1-1 after just six minutes.
